Lincoln, Neb. — On Saturday, the Nebraska Farm Bureau (NEFB) announced its endorsement for Congressman Mike Flood to continue to serve the First Congressional District of Nebraska in Congress.

“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the Nebraska Farm Bureau. The NEFB is the biggest voice for Nebraska’s farm and ranch families in Lincoln and Washington. Over the last couple of years, I’ve been pushing to cut unnecessary regulations for ag producers, expand access to E15, strengthen our rural communities, and fight for Nebraska products at home and around the world,” says Congressman Flood.

“The Nebraska Farm Bureau advocates for cutting red tape, expanding broadband access, and developing opportunities for rural communities. Congressman Mike Flood champions the interests of Nebraska farms and represents our Nebraska values in Congress,” says Nebraska Farm Bureau (NEFB) President Mark McHargue.

As a State Senator in Nebraska and now as a Member of Congress, Rep. Flood has been fighting for farm and ranch families across the state. Here’s just a few of the steps he’s taken for agriculture over the last year:

• Introduced the Sustainable Aviation Fuels Accuracy Act of 2023
• Pushed for year round access to E15 and higher ethanol blends
• Led a Farm Bill listening tour with Nebraska’s entire federal delegation
• Worked to end President Biden’s disastrous EV auto mandate
• Co-introduced the Prohibition of Agricultural Land for the People’s Republic of China Act
• Editorialized against President Biden’s 30 x 30 land grab and Climate Corps
• Proposed a resolution condemning the UN's anti-beef food strategy
• Promoted disaster relief options for livestock producers
• Sought drought program resources for Nebraska in the upcoming Farm Bill
• Successfully secured the extension of a line speed trial program for Nebraska’s pork producers
