I’m working every day to help Nebraskans keep more of their paychecks and make life more affordable. I voted to cut taxes for Nebraska families. I voted to pass No Tax on Tips, No Tax on Overtime, and No Tax on Social Security. We have more work to do, and I will continue backing policies that grow our economy and make life more affordable.

A secure southern border is vital to the safety of our country. I voted to pass legislation that funds Border Patrol, improves our border security technology, and fights fentanyl coming into our country. We have achieved the most secure border in 50 years. I will continue supporting policies that keep our border secure and our communities safe.

I launched Nebraska Backs the Blue, a bipartisan coalition of public safety officials and community leaders dedicated to strengthening support for law enforcement and recruiting more officers to Nebraska. In Congress, I will always support the law enforcement officers who sacrifice for the safety of Nebraskans.

Communist China is one of our greatest threats. The Chinese Communist Party steals our technology, spies on our military, and is buying up American farmland. I voted to invest $150 billion to strengthen our military and bolster our deterrence against China. I’ve also worked to keep Chinese technology off Nebraska cell towers and stop the CCP from purchasing our farmland. As the threat of Communist China grows, I will keep fighting to protect our national security.

Our national debt will hit $40 trillion later this year. Washington’s spending is out of control, and addressing this crisis has proven to be a monstrous task. But our deficit is finally beginning to shrink. I voted for a historic rescission package to rein in Washington’s wasteful spending. I also introduced the No More D.C. Waste Act, targeted legislation going after excessive federal funding. I will keep fighting to get Washington’s excess spending under control.

The cost of owning a home has become too expensive. The average age of a first-time homebuyer is now 40 – but for years, Congress has done nothing to address rising home prices. I worked with Republicans and Democrats to pass a bipartisan bill to address high housing costs. My bill cuts red tape and makes it more affordable to build new homes. It is a huge step in making the American Dream more affordable for Nebraska families.

I was elected by my colleagues to serve as Chair of the Main Street Caucus, a group of more than 85 commonsense Republicans focused on delivering results. In this role, I’ve worked with President Trump and congressional leaders to advance policies that benefit Nebraskans: cutting taxes, reducing red tape, and eliminating wasteful spending.

Nebraska is the best place in the world because of our communities. I have secured more than $100 million in federal funding for community projects in Nebraska. These funds will go toward improving public safety, investing in infrastructure, and making our communities an even better place to live.

My job in Washington is to fight for Nebraska. When a hiring freeze at the Omaha National Weather Service office paused critical weather balloon launches, I took the issue to the White House and pushed for a fix. They addressed the staffing shortage, launches resumed, and Nebraska communities once again have the accurate forecasting they rely on to stay safe.
