Lincoln, Neb. – Republican Congressman Mike Flood has earned the backing of the Omaha Police Officers Association in his campaign for re-election.
“I’m proud to have the support of Nebraska’s largest law enforcement organization, the Omaha Police Officers Association,” Flood stated. “Nebraska’s law enforcement officers protect our communities and make the Good Life possible. We need to defend, not defund, law enforcement. I will keep backing policies that keep our communities safe by supporting the good work done by our brave men and women serving in law enforcement.”
Flood also highlighted his bipartisan work to address the law enforcement officer shortage Nebraska is facing by investing in recruitment and retention.
“I launched Nebraska Backs the Blue, a bipartisan effort to keep Nebraskans safe by recruiting law enforcement officers from other states, because public safety is not a partisan issue,” Flood said. “I will work with Republicans and Democrats to provide police officers with the resources they need to continue keeping our communities safe.”
Omaha Police Officers Association President Anthony Conner praised Flood for working tirelessly to protect public safety and support law enforcement officers.
“Congressman Flood has been an advocate for policies that are good for Nebraska police officers and our state’s public safety,” Conner said. “We must send Mike Flood back to Washington because he will continue supporting law enforcement officers and fighting back against the extreme Defund the Police movement.”
Congressman Mike Flood has represented Nebraska’s First Congressional District since 2022. He is running to be re-elected to his second full term in Congress.
